THE SPACE
The Himavana is a product of a Himalayan obsession, with several luxury & unique eco-cottages it is a home for
travelers, explorers, birders, climbers, naturalists & pilgrims. We are in the midst of Pangot, located at about 13 kilo-meters from Nainital in Uttarakhand. At 2000 mt. above sea level, our Himalayan hill is pristine, untouched & expressive. Pangot comes under Naina Devi Bird Conservation Reserve which is a haven for serial birders for all over the world. The drive to Pangot is half-an hour from Nainital, which passes through the forested area of Cheena Peak Range via Snow View Point and Kilbury, which are birding spots.

The changing colors of the hillside, the trees, birds, cicadas, horse-chestnuts, pine cones, cow bells, mule trains, the rain on old tin roofs, the wind in tall deodars, wild flowers in the morning dew—all these things are largely personal, appealing to both the spiritual and sensual in our own natures.

Boutique Luxury Cottages
We offer unique eco luxury Chaléts, with a blend of modern & rural architecture.
The masonry construction consists of traditional building practices with materials like sandbags, dry grass, dry wood, stone & mud.
Thermally efficient & environment friendly, the use of sandbags in some Chaléts reduce CO2 emissions by 95%.

The cottages are made after taking into account the freezing Himalayan winds!
Our layered stone walls & rubber infill interiors add to our initiative to make each Chalét distinctive and noteworthy giving a solitary essence to them.

Nature Beauty & Silence
In the midst of Rhododenron, Oak & Pine. The unexplored forests have archaic treks some of them for serial climbers. In those multiple treks to the forest, one may sight anything, from a Flying Squirrel to a Himalayan Griffon to a Leopard, welcome to the real Jungle!
Away from the city's commotion as you walk you feel the pristine beauty & diverse expressions of nature . The sound of silence would be soothing to the soul. Sit back, be aware and watch his play.

The area is full of bird species of various chirping of the birds who wake you up. The barbecue and bon fire areas allow for one to sit by the fire under the starry sky on the open deck. Important to mention our property is completely fenced & safe for all.

The Trekking Pathways may be slightly challenging for some but it's a gold mine for explorers, bird watchers & nature enthusiasts!

There is a complementary off-roading we provide to our guests (from Pangot), it becomes essential as we are located deep into the forests.

Birding Haven
The Naina Devi Himalayan Bird Conservation Reserve is nestled on a secluded long ridge above Nainital and is a bird lover’s paradise. It is also a nature lover’s haven, with some of the oldest preserved forests of Kumaon straddling this rich belt. Its serene and unspoilt beauty lies undisturbed as it falls off the sightseeing circuit from Nainital, leaving only the passionate birders and solitude seeking individuals to visit.

Accessibility to Nainital
One hand distance to Nainital bustle yet the connectivity is easy. On our left we have is kilometres of pine area spread out, no man's land!

The closest market is in Nainital, so for any special requests please let us know 2 days in advance, we will have to make prior arrangements for you!
Temples, Caves, Adventures & Activities
The Naga-Baba Cave & The Trigadeshwar Temple are at the stream area which is 650 mts from the property.
The Shiva temple is highly revered by the locals, many renowned Swamis & women saints including Pravrajika Divyanandaprana of the Ramakrishna Mission come here to meditate, sing hymns & chant scriptures as it is secluded and peaceful.

Adventures and activities include Forest picnics, Trekking, Zipline, Rappling, Excursions & Paragliding. This depends on the availability so please check before.

It was a heavenly experience that was no short of divinity in any manner whatsoever. The upward trek may a bit of a challenge for a few but, my 9 year old and I loved it. It was worth the effort.
A dense hoard of tall and short trees on the either side of the rocky path opens up to the world untouched. I could breath freshness for as far as I could see. The silence, unheard of before, was to me an epitome of tranquility and peace, only broken by the harmony of exotic birds, and the wild that seemed to be mystic. To top it up, the food was delicious, and the night sky was unbelievable.
