Churani Churning

Churani has skyrocketed in popularity in last two years, with the upcoming development of Churani & tourists coming in. The past of Churani cannot be understated & the humble man who with his works changed the future course of Churani cannot be neglected. Mr. Mukesh Pandey, a resident of Pitthoragarh, a multilayered guy nature lover, singer, family man, national athlete, poet, actor, almost an IAS, businessman and the list goes on!

The development has been his years of work & service, when Churani (Pangot) had only two houses and in the broken one lived this man, in severe cold visited frequently by wild animals. This is his story. He had an ancestral house and he chose to live here and make it happen 5 years back. If it wasn't for him, Churani wouldn't have seen the light of day. Be it manual work of roads, the pathways, the support to locals, the unconditional support to home buyers & always providing love & comfort for the labour working. A person with an equanimous state of mind. Well adjusted even in worst circumstances. Dealing with leopards face to face & doings of wild boars, giving earthquake scares in the middle of a silent night was a part of his KRA.

Now as the Churani community in Pangot, Nainital is booming & Delhi buyers are flooding the place to buy property in Churani, he is to be remembered. A people's person he does not care about himself but is adamant that everyone's belly should be full, be it hungry langurs or humans!

Now as Churani is developing into a unique space as most of the space is reserved as forest land & the civilian land is limited, the buyers are happy and land have finer pricing as development has become possible because of Mr. Mukesh who introduced the idea of a tractor and where his engineering skills came to test as he beat the rocky & uphill roads to get construction done.

Churani has been developing as a silent space where the tourists have to walk 1 km from Pangot to reach and which is completely away from city bustle or tourists nuisance.

As we spoke to the owners of the place all of the cottage projects will be completed this year bringing in revenue & jobs for locals.

The plan is already in place and outdoor activities are being considered.

A 7 hour stretch for Delhites, cottages are opened for the tourists coming in. Yoga Centres & Other wellness activities are being worked about by the Mr.Mukesh, Mr.Negi & Mr. Charanjit Ji.
